Darcy was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in November 2023. He completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Western Australia, graduating in 2022. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Law and Society. 

Darcy is in Williams + Hughes’ corporate and commercial team.

Darcy specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, energy and resources projects and general corporate advisory.

Darcy has experience advising on transactions across multiple sectors, including mining and resources, agribusiness, energy, logistics, transport, professional services, education and retail. This includes advising on structuring and negotiation of acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, taxation structuring, regulatory approvals including Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB), corporate governance, corporate restructures, share issues and share buy-backs.

Outside of law, Darcy enjoys playing golf and travelling.

Darcy is based in our West Perth office.

Darcy’s recent experience includes:

  • Advising the shareholders of Calibre Spraying on its sale to BOSS Engineering (an Alceon Private Equity portfolio company).
  • Advising the shareholders of Improve IO Pty Ltd in relation to its successful sale to Australian Laboratory Services Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of ALS Ltd (ASX:ALS).
  • Advising Image Resources (ASX:IMA) in relation to its Yandanooka and Durack mineral sands projects.
