EXPERIENCE

Andrew is a solicitor in our commercial litigation and dispute resolution practice.  Andrew has acted in a wide variety of disputes concerning competition and consumer law, intellectual property law, director and shareholder rights, regulatory and coronial investigations, and disputes in the construction and energy and resources sectors.  

Andrew is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.

Before joining Williams + Hughes, Andrew worked for several years at a preeminent international litigation firm.  

Andrew’s experience includes: 

  • Proceedings in the Supreme Court of New South Wales concerning misleading or deceptive conduct and breaches of contract in the AI sector, on behalf of a New York Stock Exchange-listed company. 
  • Proceedings in the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) concerning breaches of fiduciary duties and unconscionable conduct.
  • Arbitral proceedings concerning the valuation of a major diesel terminal. 
  • A price review arbitration on behalf of an Australian liquified natural gas purchaser. 
  • Proceedings in the Supreme Court of New South Wales concerning rights of first refusal and restraints of trade in the rail sector. 
  • Proceedings in the Supreme Court of Western Australia concerning complex restitutionary claims.  
  • Private tribunal proceedings concerning a disputed preselection on behalf of a federal MP.  
  • A dispute between major telecommunications providers regarding various competition law issues.  

Andrew holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Western Australia, where he won several mooting competitions and awards at a national and international level, and a Bachelor of Science from Murdoch University, where he won the Vice Chancellor’s Commendation for Academic Excellence.

Andrew is based in our West Perth office.
